The approach I employ is called cognitive behavioural hypnotherapy (CBH). This entails looking at your thoughts, behaviours and feelings. We examine how these interact with the issues you are experiencing.
CBH combines hypnosis and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) with theories based on modern psychology and neuroscience. Both hypnotherapy and the CBT model are evidence based and comprehensively researched. Recent brain imaging experiments have shown that hypnotised subjects are more susceptible to suggestions and that thoughts, words and behaviours are neurochemical acts.
CBH helps to change neural pathways and enables people to achieve significant emotional and behavioural changes.
I also integrate mindfulness approaches, acceptance-based work as well as relaxation techniques into the treatment.
